I like to describe myself as an entrepreneur, author, photographer, investor and keen cyclist.
Yes. I did share in building a new business as an entrepreneur. The business eventually grew to 750 staff in 16 offices across 10 different countries. And we built it in 6 years. I call that entrepreneurial.
Yes. I have co-authored two books. One is about Technology in Banking, telling the story of the evolution of British banking. The other is a collection of inspirational stories called The Inspiration Bible. My piece in the book is the story of how I became Inspired to Ride.
Yes. I do take photographs. Mostly I photograph Australian native orchids. I go looking for them when I am cycling or when I am out in the bush. And I publish them on Steemit.com, a cryptocurrency-based blogging platform and I get paid to do that.
Yes. I do cycle. More than that I like to cycle long distances and have thus far cycled across Australia 7 times from side to side in different directions and top to bottom. More than that I like to cycle for charity and have raised thousands of dollars for Kids Cancer and for Disabled Kids through my cycling journeys.
Yes. I am an investor. Over the last 4 years I have taken over management of almost all of my portfolios. I set out to invest in all instruments across all geographies. And I write about that too with over 300 investing journals published on Steemit.com.
What qualifies me to talk about Internet Marketing?
- I an an IT geek. I bought my first Apple computer in 1981. I have been tweaking computers and computer code ever since
- I am an experienced management consultant with a 25 year track record across several industries and geographies. I understand business
- I am well qualified for business too with qualifications in business and law and accounting
- I have a creative mind to bring business and technology and customer needs together
- I have bought a lot of Internet Marketing stuff. I know a lot of Internet Marketing gurus. I have been through a lot of training.
What disqualifies me?
- I am always finding and chasing new ideas which gets in the way of the focus needed to complete projects
- I do not delegate enough
Challenge then is to harness the ideas, contain the number of projects and finish things
